Your surgeon will ask you to use a nasal splint during the first 7-10 days after rhinoplasty. You may have moderate swelling and bruising around the eyes that could last up to two weeks. You should also avoid physical activity until four weeks after surgery.
A nose job can be performed at the same time as other surgeries, such as septoplasty, which is done to straighten a deviated septum that hinders breathing through the nose. The combination is often called functional rhinoplasty.
